For a long time OMO washing powder had billboards all over the African continent. Linking the design elements instantly to cold water, clean and bright.
The Jelly is a diamond-tailed fish, named after the super playful set-up of Jelly Babies in southern Madagascar. At low tide, Jelly Babies serves up a long tapered wall that unfolds mechanically over a bed of sand filled corals, perfect for a fun shape like this to throw through a million turns, cut backs and the odd head dip barrel.
The Jelly offers a traditional fish outline and generous volume with twin keel fins and delivers the ride and drive of a traditional fish, with a little bit extra freak and flow through the diamond tail. Just like Jelly Babies, this board is loads of fun and like any fish shape, comes alive in bigger surf, while encouraging the same playful approach.
Each Mami Wata surfboard is handcrafted by master shaper Hugh Thompson in Jeffreys Bay.
