Who are we?
Mami Wata is an independent African surf brand crafting premium apparel, surfboards and accessories. Headquartered in Cape Town, Mami Wata was founded on our love of Africa and passion for surfing.
Where do you make your products?
We develop, design and manufacture in Africa. We insist that Mami Wata products are produced in pleasant working environments, adhering to decent labour standards and health and safety conditions.
We know the road. Nature can be rough, relentless, even humbling and unforgiving, so you need things that work and are built to last. These are the products Mami Wata strives to make.
Our shipping is at a fixed rate of R50 for anywhere in South Africa.
If you spend more the R1000 with us then shipping is FREE.
This excludes surfboards, which are shipped door-to-door at a flat rate of R650.
Apparel delivery will usually be within 5 working days.
Our shipping is handled by our friends at Parcel Ninja and delivery will be carried out by a reliable courier. The name of the courier and tracking details will be e-mailed to you once the order has been dispatched.
We charge a flat rate of R400 (this is roughly $25-$30 depending on the exchange rate) for all international deliveries.
If you spend more than R2,000 (this is roughly $180-$200 depending on the exchange rate) with us then shipping is FREE. This excludes surfboards, which we only ship within South Africa.
We deliver internationally through PostNet. The package can be tracked using http://www.postnet.co.za/parcel-tracker Once the package has left South Africa it can be tracked via the destination country’s postal service using the tracking number provided.
Orders are dispatched within 2 working days and estimated shipping is within 14 days.
All import duty and taxes charge by the destination country are at the customer’s expense.

Reason for returning.
Once the return has been approved a courier will contact you to arrange pick up. Once our warehouse has received the item we will arrange a refund directly to the card that the original purchase was made from. If you would like to exchange your product for a different one, the best way to secure the correct size or colour is to place a new order – this way you can maximize the odds of your item being in stock
All international exchanges must be returned to us at your expense.
Mami Wata will not accept customs charges incurred when returning items. All packages must be marked “Goods returned under warranty”. Thank you for your understanding.
Mami Wata is committed to customer satisfaction and if you are not 100% happy with your product we are happy to offer a full refund or exchange as long as the item is returned to us unwashed, unworn and in the original packaging with labels still attached within 14 days.

How do I know what size I am?
Within each product page on our site we have provided fit guidelines based on the piece’s garment measurements (note: these are not on-body measurements). We’re happy to answer any questions regarding fit. Please write to us email@example.com
